Prairie Chicks Scrapbook Challenge #20- Tammy
Can you believe we are on challenge #20, That's 129 layouts, cards and projects we have shared with you so far with so much more still to come.
This Challenge is a sketch challenge. Sketches are a great way to get ideas on photo, paper and embellishment placement. You just have to pick which the paper, pictures and embellishments you want to use. We chose to use a sketch from Sketch Savvy. If you want a variety of sketches to challenge you, you can check them out here . The challenge was to keep the placement of everything the same as the sketch (at the bottom of this post) but you could change the shapes.
This is Tammy's layout using the sketch.

Prairie Chicks Scrapbook Challenge #19- Jen
This month's challenge is a color challenge. Everyone had to make a layout and card using the palette shown at the end of this post from Design Seeds.
Here is my layout and card,
In this layout I have been practicing with mixed media so I'll run down a bit of what I did on this layout.`
-First I tore strips from the FabScraps paper and adhered it in the top left and bottom right corner. -Next I took cream paint and dry brushed over parts of the pattern paper to tone it down a bit.
-Let dry.
-I then used a chicken wire and circle medallion stencil, applied the gel medium over top in various places on the layout.
-Let dry.
-Khaki and Indian Corn were sprayed over the whole layout in random patches. Again dry.
-I painted the trinkets, flowers, crystals, and dry brushed the buttons in cream paint.
-Next I sprayed the crystals in Indian Corn mist (it blended too much into the layout in cream).
-For the script stamp I dipped it in paint (you must wash your stamp immediately after) and stamped randomly in the empty spaces.
-Last I adhered the embellishments, lace and photo on my page.
Okay so I totally cheated on the card and used the swatch as my card image ;)
