Prairie Chicks Scrapbook Challenge #16- Lilly's

Challenge #16 is a paper line challenge with a twist. Everyone had to pick a project out of a hat and use Graphic 45's Bird Song paper. The projects to choose from were a layout (there were 3 in the hat) a mini album, an altered project and a set of three cards.

Featured Machine Quilter

We are going to start featuring a local machine quilter every few months or so.  Here is a look at Evelyn Bergen of Sew Special Quilting.  She has been doing it as a business for a while now and recently made this sample for us.  Beautiful work!!

It was quite the challenge and I have to say everyone went far above and beyond! The projects to choose from were a layout (there were 3 in the hat) a mini album, an altered project and a set of three cards.

A BIG BIG thank you to all who came out to support us for our 7th Anniversary!  We really appreciate all our loyal customers over the years, we wouldn't be here without you!  We are already planning new events and projects for the new location next year.  In the meantime here is a picture of what I (Barb) was working on over Easter break.  The pattern is Florabundance by DJ Richards Design and the fabric is Birds & Berries by Lauren & Jessi Jung.  What have you been working on?

Late Night Scrap

Late Night Scrap is this Friday, April 5, 6:00pm - Midnight!!  This event is for quilters and scrapbookers, come catch up on projects!!  Cost is $20.00 Supper and snacks are provided! And as always there will be prize draws!  You may arrive earlier in the day to start working for no extra charge!  This is a great time to shop too as our Anniversary Sale starts the same day.  The shop will close at 9:00 so signing up for the Late Night Scrap is the only way to shop right until midnight!

Scrap Week Layouts

Once again the staff here at Prairie Chicks had a fun week of scrapbooking. We do this a few times a year to update the samples in the store and give you fresh inspiration. Along with scrap week there have been a number of scrapbook orders with new goodies that we were excited to dive into. Throughout the week we created over 30 new layouts and a couple of cards that we will post over the next few days (just so you are not too overwhelmed).
