Prairie Chicks Scrapbook Challenge #31- Tammy

It's time to start a new challenge and we are grabbing our inspiration from magazine pages but not scrapbook magazines. We are taking the pages of regular everyday magazines and using the layout or color of the pages for our ideas.

Here is the first layout by Tammy. She took her photo and blew it up to 8 1/2"x 11" and created her page to look like the cover of a magazine.

Featured Machine Quilter - Andrea Gleisberg

Andrea Gleisberg, Sew Beautiful Quilting, is our next featured quilter.  Andrea has been quilting for 20+ years and machine quilting for 6.  A friend talked her into taking her first quilting class and from the moment she was home and could re-create a second quilt on her own, she was hooked.  They still quilt together when they can.
Quilting runs in the family.  Her daughter Susi quilts and her grandson Alex already has a love for fabrics.  He’s waiting for kids quilting classes at Prairie Chicks.
Andrea also enjoys making cards, gardening and travel when time allows.  She enjoys every part of quilting from picking a pattern to choosing fabrics, cutting, sewing, pressing and quilting.  She even enjoys sewing binding!  She loves all fabrics but is partial to brights.  She says she has a “No Discrimination” policy when it comes to fabric purchases.  She quilts beautifully, whether it’s a pantograph, free motion or custom quilting.  Come check out her quilt on display at the shop!
